Overview
Three regions, three intimate camps and light aircraft in between. This nine-day itinerary begins at Elerai Camp, in a private conservancy on the edge of Amboseli National Park, where elephant herds cross open plains under Kilimanjaro.
The middle leg is on the Laikipia Plateau at Kicheche Laikipia, inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a conservation-led landscape known for rhino and for activities a national park cannot offer: walking, night drives and time with the conservancy’s research teams. The final three nights are at Kicheche Mara Camp in the Mara North Conservancy, one of the Maasai Mara Conservancies, with predator-focused drives and access to the Masai Mara National Reserve itself.
Each move takes an hour or two by air, so almost every day is a full safari day.
Who it suits
Travellers who want Kenya’s variety in one trip, from Kilimanjaro views to rhino country to the big cats of the Mara, at a well-judged mid-luxury level. Children under 12 are welcome.
