Overview
A fly-in circuit of three very different Kenyan reserves, with guiding usually led by Maasai or Samburu rangers. After a night by Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the first flight is to Tortilis Camp in Amboseli National Park, among the elephant herds that roam the plains below Kilimanjaro.
From there the trip turns north to Elephant Bedroom Camp on the Ewaso Nyiro River in Samburu National Reserve, a semi-arid landscape of doum palms and dry-country species. The final three nights are at Ilkeliani Camp on the Talek River, inside the Masai Mara National Reserve, with a front-row seat to the predators and, in season, the Great Migration.
Each camp runs on a game package, and spa treatments, helicopter flips and hot-air balloon safaris can be added along the way.
Who it suits
