Overview
The shortest way to do the Masai Mara National Reserve properly. A private vehicle collects you in Nairobi and drives west down the escarpment into the Great Rift Valley, arriving in the Mara in time for an afternoon game drive and a first night under canvas.
The second day is given entirely to the reserve, with the option of a picnic lunch on the plains so that you can stay out through the middle hours when the big cats are resting in the shade. In season, that may mean the Mara River and the crossings of the Great Migration.
Two nights in a luxury tented camp, a private guide and a final morning drive before the return to Nairobi.
Who it suits
Travellers with a few days either side of a business trip, a beach holiday or a longer itinerary elsewhere in East Africa, who want a private, well-reviewed Mara safari without flights.
