Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and catch a connecting flight to Kasane in Botswana. On arrival in Kasane you will be met and transferred by a short chartered flight to the Chobe River area, then transfer by road to Chobe Chilwero Lodge situated on the escarpment overlooking the Chobe River and its sprawling floodplains. Go on thrilling game drives and search for Chobe's impressive herds of elephants, buffalo, lion, giraffe, leopard, baboon and enjoy an amazing bird count. A motorboat ride on the Chobe River offers the chance to see crocodiles, hippos and more. Relax at the lodge, take a dip in the pool or enjoy spa treatments.
After breakfast catch your scheduled charter flight to Baines' Lodge, situated in a private Okavango Delta concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. Spend two nights in this eco-friendly camp enjoying an intimate and exclusive stay. Set out on 4X4 game drives, guided nature walks, and traditional canoe and motorboat trips through the watery, wildlife-filled channels. Return to camp for drinks around the fire and a delicious meal under the stars.
Fly to Chief's Island, the largest landmass within the Okavango Delta, and settle in at Chief's Camp for two nights. This area boasts a particular abundance of wildlife, especially animals that prefer a drier Okavango Delta environment. Go on game drives in search of predators like lion, cheetah, leopard and wild dog, and look out for the rare white rhino. Leave the Okavango Delta behind as you catch a scheduled charter flight back to Maun where you will meet your connecting flight to Johannesburg. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Fairlawns Boutique Hotel, a grand hotel located in a leafy suburb of Sandton. Spend the afternoon lounging beside the pool or set off to explore this pulsating city.
